Welcome to the website of
Medway Cruising Club

weather and tides

The club is located on the South bank of the river Medway at Gillingham Kent where we have a clubhouse and dinghy park at Commodores Hard. The clubhouse has a bar which is the venue for a variety of social events throughout the year. It is also the start line for races organised for cruisers and traditional craft.
At the other end of The Strand Leisure park we have a storage yard with a three berth slip, dry dock, workshop and a large boatshed.
Our aim is to provide affordable access to sailing facilities for practical sailors and members sail a wide range of boats including sailing and motor cruisers, trailer sailers and traditional craft. We encourage members to participate in club events and the maintenance and running of the club to help reduce membership fees.
This website will have new pages added soon please check back regularly. If you have any comments or suggestions (polite ones only please) contact the Webmaster

South Coast Cruise
Leaving around mid-May and returning by the end of June the Medway Cruising Club this year are planning a slightly less adventurous trip than last year's round the UK trip and are venturing along the south coast. Some time will be spent exploring the Solent and in and around the Isle of Wight. Then it is on to the Channel Islands and if time and weather permit along the French coast visiting some French Ports. The Club would welcome all members to join the Cruise and ideal for those wishing to cruise in company. Please contact Steve Smith for further information.

Spring Cruise
It is hoped to incorporate a shorter 3 day cruise to Ramsgate either at the start or finish of the South Coast Cruise – more info will be available once confirmed.
